Book Blurb:
Vanessa Carmichael will never forget that horrible day for as long as she lives. With Zane fully on the mend from the brutal attack he suffered right in her very own yard, she knows she should be grateful, which she is. She also knows that walking away from Zane might be the only way to keep him safe. Despite her denial, V knows she can’t trust her own heart, especially when it comes to the youngest Walker brother, but he’s not the kind of man who will walk away when there is something he wants. He wants her even if it isn’t safe for him, and she’s not sure she is strong enough to walk away.

Zane Walker might have been brutally attacked and after months in the hospital, walked away with his life spared, but now that he’s out of the hospital, he has only one goal in mind. Getting the girl. From the first time he kissed her, Zane knew V was the one for him. He also knew that getting her wasn’t going to be as easy as he hoped. She’s stubborn and the walls she has erected around her heart are nearly impenetrable. However, there’s one thing about Zane – he never gives up. And he’s not about to start now.

Can V learn to open her heart to the one man who is desperate to get past those walls she has erected, or will she walk away to protect him? How long will Zane allow her to deny what he knows is growing between them? Or is the only option to obscure the underlying emotions with spine tingling lust?

When V and Zane come together, smoke detectors go on the fritz, but when they bring Zane’s best friend Beau into the mix, extra fire extinguishers are needed.

My Thoughts:
Well, I have to say, I did not see that coming!! Zane is book two in the Alluring Indulgence series. I am absolutely in love with these Walker boys. There are so many of them to choose from. They are all 100% alpha male with dark hair and smoldering blue-grey eyes.

We pick up book two where “Kaleb” left off. Zane has been brutally attacked in front of Vanessa. He barely escapes with his life. Vanessa finds herself backing away from Zane. She feels responsible for his attack and is having severe panic attacks whenever she goes back to where it happened. Unfortunately, it happened in her front yard.

Alluring Indulgence has its groundbreaking ceremony. The Walker boys are in full swing with their plan to create a club that will be unlike any other.

Zane finds himself drawn to Vanessa in a way he’s never been drawn to another woman. He just can’t seem to let her go. He and his best friend Beau, take Vanessa to heights she never dreamed imaginable.

There are a few big reveals and OMG moments. We also get to see the set up for the next book and boy is it going to be huge!

Book three… Travis. I hate to say this but I found myself wanting to skip over this book and see what happens with Travis. Don’t get me wrong, this one was good, but I. CAN. NOT. WAIT. for the next book. It is going to be HOT! There is a cliffhanger, it’s not huge for Zane but sets up book three nicely.

Overall, I gave this one four stars. The story was good the plot was good, writing good, I liked the characters. It didn’t knock my socks off but it was definitely a hot one. If you are a menage fan and don’t mind some m/m lovin’, this is a good one for you!

About Reading Haven

I am a thirty something wife and mother of two. I read in all of my free time. I can't remember the last time I chose to watch television. I would prefer reading or hanging out online24/7 but one must pay the bills, thus my day job. I like UF but lately have been exploring more erotica and adult romance novels. I love a good Alpha male and I am not afraid of the dark stuff. I like historical romance as well. Sometimes I go for the YA stuff. I'm a sap for a good love story. I prefer a HEA (insert unicorns, rainbows and kittens). Genres I will read: Contemporary Romance and some Historical Romance, Erotica, Urban Fantasy, Young Adult, and Paranormal Romance.
