The Forever of Ella and Micha (The Secret #2)
by Jessica Sorensen

Ella and Micha have survived tragedy and heartbreak. When they’re together, anything seems possible. But now they are thousands of miles apart, and managing their long distance relationship will put their love to the test.

Ella is back at school, trying hard not worry so much about her future. But with her father in and out of rehab, she’s having a hard time making it through the days. All she wants is Micha by her side, but she refuses to let her problems get in the way of his dreams.

Micha spends his days touring the country with his band, but deep down he knows something is missing. Being away from Ella is harder than he thought it would be. He wants her closer to him-needs her with him. But he won’t ask her to leave college, just to be with him.

The few moments they do spend together are intense and passionate, but it only makes it more difficult when they have to part. They know they want to be together, but is wanting something enough to get them to their forever?

Heather’s Thoughts:

The Secret of Ella and Micha is where this story all started. Ella and Micha have known each other since…forever.

Ella is the girl next door whose mother committed suicide and whose father is an alcoholic. Ella went off to college and comes home looking completely different. Gone is the wild child and in her place is a girl Micha doesn’t recognize. She is preppy and she is a rule follower. The Ellie Mae Micha knows is rebel, a fighter and a  racer.

Micha Scott is not the same boy he was before either. He is going after what he has always known he wanted, and that is Ella. Micha is in for the long haul. His career is taking off and Micha is on the road with his band. The strain of separation is difficult but they have a deeper relationship than most. They have a shared history that goes back for what seems like… forever.

“Snorting a laugh, I press my palm to his and I swear the earth stops, because this moment is the beginning of forever.” -Ella
Ella is struggling with her family, her past and the guilt that eats away at her every day about her mother’s suicide. Ella finds herself sinking and she is not sure if she will find her way out. Ella and Micha must choose to fight for their relationship when things get tough. But neither knows if it will be enough.

They both fall back on old habits and when things get tough, they try and escape. Unhealthy coping could tear them apart forever.

Ella and Micha are the sweetest couple on the planet. I absolutely LOVE all of their broken pieces. I LOVE that together they are stronger than they are apart. I LOVE that they know every detail about one another and can read each other like an open book. I LOVE Ella’s journey and the revelations that happen. I LOVE that Micha doesn’t compromise and he doesn’t give in. I LOVE this book!

“Micha, I love you,” I murmur between breaths and realize that this is what I want. Forever.- Ella

This book left me with a warm fuzzy feeling. I was really afraid to read this because there were a few reviews that were not complimentary. I loved the first one so much! This one was just as good in my ever so humble opinion.  I really want there to be another one…does that make me a bad person…I don’t think so.

About Reading Haven

I am a thirty something wife and mother of two. I read in all of my free time. I can't remember the last time I chose to watch television. I would prefer reading or hanging out online24/7 but one must pay the bills, thus my day job. I like UF but lately have been exploring more erotica and adult romance novels. I love a good Alpha male and I am not afraid of the dark stuff. I like historical romance as well. Sometimes I go for the YA stuff. I'm a sap for a good love story. I prefer a HEA (insert unicorns, rainbows and kittens). Genres I will read: Contemporary Romance and some Historical Romance, Erotica, Urban Fantasy, Young Adult, and Paranormal Romance.
