Ethan (Alluring Indulgence #4)
by Nicole Edwards
Ethan is part of the Alluring Indulgence series (#5), however, this book was written to be read as a stand alone book as well.
Erotic M/M Romance
How long did it take you to find your place in the world?
For Ethan Walker, going through the motions of life, keeping his distance and never getting attached has become the mantra he lives by. Success is measured by how many hours he can work and how little attention he can draw. That was until he landed on Beau Bennett’s radar. Until Beau, Ethan had never met a man who could get him to question his own logic and even consider taking a different path.
Beau Bennett knows exactly who he is – now. It might’ve taken him some time to figure it out, but now that he has his bearings, Beau has set his sights on the mysteriously sexy Ethan Walker. Pursuing someone has never been his style, but something is telling him to keep at it because the end result is going to be worth it.
Now that they’ve found one another, how long will it take Ethan and Beau to accept that their place in the world is… Together?
Warning: This book contains sexual encounters and graphic language that some readers may find objectionable, including, but not limited to: m/m encounters, anal sex. Contains graphic material that is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
This is the fourth book in the Alluring Indulgences series. It is an erotic romance series. The books each tackle one or more or the Walker boys. There are seven of them, so this should be a big series. So far, I have been a huge fan.
I am typically not all that into M/M Romance. Not that I have a problem with it, quite the opposite. It just usually doesn’t do it for me. For some reason Nicole Edwards can make any combination of men and women HOT! I absolutely adore this series and I want one of these brooding Walker brothers, actually, I think I’ll take the twins. 🙂
Ethan Walker has always felt like an outsider, an outcast. He knows he is different, and in his small town, different is not a good thing. Ethan has never had a girlfriend and has never shown any interest in women. But he would never admit aloud his true nature.
Beau has always been best friends with Zane Walker. One wild night while having a threesome with Zane, he takes things further and discovers that he has been missing something his whole life. All of the sex he has had with women had left him feeling unfulfilled. Now he knows why. He was able to walk away from Zane with his friendship intact, but Beau will never be able to go back.
Ethan is in a “relationship” with Blake. I say “relationship” because they are very much in the closet. When Ethan ends things, Blake does not take it well.
Ethan and Beau find themselves giving in to the intense attraction bubbling beneath the surface.
But there is a problem…Ethan has a past. A dark past. He fears getting close to anyone.
Things have a tendency to turn out poorly and he is afraid. If he falls for Beau, they could both get hurt.
So Ethan tries his hardest to run.
“I’m not your business,” Ethan said lethally. Beau didn’t move an inch, but Ethan felt as though he were pressed fully up against him. The heat from his colossal body somehow forced away the icy February breeze and warmed him from the inside out.
Not a good thing. “I want you to be my business.”
Beau is having none of it!
The past comes back and all of the skeletons come flying out of the closet.
Beau and Ethan could be epic. They could have the love of a lifetime, if they can move forwards and leave the past behind them.
Nicole Edwards does it again! This was AMAZING! As I said before, I am not a huge fan of M/M romance. Somehow, Ms. Edwards just makes it work. I don’t care that they are both guys, I love them both. They are two alpha males fighting for something forbidden in their small town. The writing was phenomenal. They love each other but they aren’t two guys with girly thoughts. They are tough and rugged cowboys. And they are HOT!
This book goes beyond the “love” story and delves into hate crimes and homophobia. It takes on family reactions to coming out and it doesn’t sugar coat any of it. Nicole Edwards did an amazing job of pulling me in and hooking me. I felt for these men. I felt love, I felt fear, I felt anger, and I felt their passion and their peace.
So the emotions were off the charts, but lets take a moment and talk about the most important part of the book, the sex. It was OFF THE FREAKING CHARTS! Holy Hell.
This book kept me panting and wanting more. I absolutely LOVED IT!
Five gigantic stars. I adore this series and I will continue to read on!!
