Infinite Possibilities (The Secret Life of Amy Bensen #2)
by Lisa Renee Jones

Secrets and lies. They are everywhere: haunting her, tormenting her. In the midst of it all, he’d been her escape, her passion. The only person she’d trusted in six years. And then he’d made her doubt that trust, cutting her deeply. But as she’d once told him, she was damaged, not broken. She is ready to fight and not just for survival. She is fighting for the truth and she won’t stop until she has it, not even for…him.

Heather’s Thoughts:

Infinite Possibilities is book two in what appears to be a trilogy. This installment picks up right where book one left off. I would categorize this series as romantic suspense. Amy Benson is still on the run and her life is still in danger. She still doesn’t know who is after her and the plot thickens!

This review will contain major spoilers if you haven’t already read book one. So if you haven’t read it yet. Stop reading now, and go read it, because it was amazing. 🙂

This book picks right up where book one left off. I re-read the last couple of chapters from book one to help me remember where things left off, and I would recommend you do the same. The author doesn’t do a lot of recapping. Thank you for that!

So as you may recall, we start off with Amy overhearing a conversation where Liam admits that he is hiding something from her. She trusted him and put her life in his hands, only to discover that he has ulterior motives.

Amy has no idea who is after her or why. She has moments where she has blinding flashbacks but no details come to lead her in the right direction. She trusts no-one. Everyone who comes close to her dies.

Liam was her one savior. But now, she can’t trust him. On top of that, in book one, we are left with a possible pregnancy cliffhanger.

Amy knows that Liam will stop at nothing to find her. He has almost infinite resources and she has no doubt he will use them. Her heart is breaking, but she has a strong survival instinct.

Amy is utterly alone. She still doesn’t know who her handler was/is or why they were helping her.

When Liam finds Amy, she decides to take a leap of faith and trust him. But with trust comes the reality that she may put him in danger.

He has no plans of letting her go EVER again.

“Run to me, not from me.”

Things start to go a little crazy.

Amy’s world is unraveling. Truths turn out to be lies.

This book does not answer all of our questions…

So, what will happen next. Well I guess we will just have to keep reading to find out now won’t we?

So, this book reminds me a lot of a suspenseful soap opera. Liam is a possessive Alpha male who sees Amy as a damsel in distress who is in need of saving. But Amy has been doing just fine on her own thank you very much! She has managed to survive on her own for years. They have amazing chemistry that will knock your socks off. When Liam and Amy come together, he possess her. YUMMY!

This story moved fast and it was somewhat short at around 250 pages. There is a lot of intrigue and action. There was more relationship building in book one, but I felt satisfied as a romance junkie with the amount of relationship in this one.  There are some steamy hot scenes and serious suspense that kept me going.

The thing I love most about this book is that it is unique. Yes, it has a uber-rich hot guy, and yes we have a damsel in distress. But that is where the formula ends in my opinion. This is an action packed series full of twists and turns that leave you guessing. I was thoroughly entertained, and that is the goal here. So I gave this a high four star review rounding up to five.

About Reading Haven

I am a fourty something wife and mother of two. I read in all of my free time. I can't remember the last time I chose to watch television. . I like UF but lately have been exploring more erotica and adult romance novels. I love a good Alpha male and I am not afraid of the dark stuff. I like historical romance as well. Sometimes I go for the YA stuff. I'm a sap for a good love story. I prefer a HEA (insert unicorns, rainbows and kittens). Genres I will read: Contemporary Romance and some Historical Romance, Erotica, Urban Fantasy, Young Adult, and Paranormal Romance.
